Under The Covers

UNDER THE COVERS is a rock ‘n roll cover band on a mission. Formed in 2006 out of Bel Air, Maryland, this group of energetic and compelling musicians has already caused a serious ripple effect in the Baltimore-metropolitan music scene and has its sights set on rocking out the mid-Atlantic region for years to come. Locked and loaded, these 5 young men will bring their unique blend high-energy rock covers, uncompromising stage presence, and dirty rock appeal to any venue leaving the audience screaming for more.

UNDER THE COVERS has developed an arsenal of modern rock covers, including new rock tunes currently played in regular rotation on the radio, popular 90’s rock, throwback 80’s jams, classic rock, and even the occasional hip-hop gem. View the UTC song list.

Brian Bourne (no relation to Jason Bourne though he would argue otherwise), lead singer for UTC, lives in Bel Air, Maryland. Brian formed the project that is UNDER THE COVERS in 2006. He has been an active member in the local music community and has been involved with a prior original project Stone Gavel from 2000-2003 (of which both Tim Cobb and Jon Naglieri were also members). Brian has spent the last 4 years building UTC to what it is today.

Jon Naglieri, lead guitarist for UTC, lives in Arlington, Virginia. When he’s not looking for security flaws in software (his “day job”), he’s either playing guitar or standing in front of a mirror wearing only his guitar, screaming “You’re a star!”. Jon started playing guitar at age 13, and was involved a prior original project Stone Gavel. After a few years spent getting his affairs in order, Jon had since longed to rock on stage yet again. With an opportunity available with UTC in late 2008, he eagerly jumped on board.

Tim Cobb is just awesome. That’s it. He lives in Joppatowne, Maryland, and he “slappa da bass”…very well. Tim brings a remarkable sense of musicality to UTC, and has played in the prior original project Stone Gavel (along with both Bourne and Naglieri). Tim is an original founding member of UTC along with Brian Bourne.

Steve Wootteon, drummer for UTC, lives in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Steve has played in prior original projects Across Five Aprils (a hardcore/metal band), and A Perfect Kiss (an indie rock band). In addition, he has toured Europe and parts of Asia with Across Five Aprils. He brings to UTC many years of experience playing the drums, as well as a witty yet subtle sarcastic sense of humor. Steve has been playing with UTC since April, 2009.

Matt Marrapodi, guitarist/keyboardist for UTC, lives in Bel Air, Maryland. Matt has been writing his own original music for years and has been seen playing guitar, piano/keyboards, bass, singing, rapping, and sampling for UTC. What CAN’T this guy do?
